Islamic view on donation/charity

Why Donate?

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), said: “A charity is due for every joint in each person on every day the sun comes up: to act justly between two people is a charity; to help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoisting up his belongings onto it, is a charity; a good word is a charity; and removing a harmful thing from the road is a charity.” (Al-Bukhari, Muslim).

"Every soul shall have a taste of death" Quran (Surah 3:185).

So, believers should hasten to perform charity which is also the 3rd pillar of Islam.

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:274)

"Those who spend their wealth by night and by day, secretly and publicly, will find that their reward is secure with their Lord and that there is no reason for them to entertain any fear or grief. "

Surah Al-Imran (3:92)
